I love the pictures you have posted! We sure have learned a lot so far and are becoming more culturally competent with the Cherokees. What I thought was cool to learn today at the museum was of the different tribes that were pushed off their land. I assumed it was one tribe but no, there were actually quite a few tribes. The ones that they mentioned at the museum were 5 of them-Cherokee, Seminoles, Chickasaws, Creeks, and Choctaws. Even though they acultured themselves to white man's way of life, they were still pushed off their land. If that wasn't bad or even sad enough, during the removal they lost many lives. A very sad time in history and I can't believe white men treated them that way. I really enjoyed today and everything we learned. Can't wait to learn more!
